Advent–a fundamental change to the norm. Broadly speaking, the term 7th Day Adventist means “a fundamental change to, or on, the Sabbath Day. Ominously, it means a fundamental change to the rest of God. The Wewoka Woods 7th Day Adventist Center has been considered controversial since they camped a little to the west of town on the Bowleg’s highway. Some people, who never travel this road (even with the new US 270 on ramp), still don’t know where it’s. Even more of us don’t know their purpose.
The 7th Day Adventist Church is a worldwide religious group with nominal membership (Adventist.org). The group promises that followers will spend eternity cherishing an ever deepening relationship with God, the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. Their belief in Sola Scripture (the belief that the Bible is the exclusive source of faith and practice for Christians) is the foundation for all their manifesto doctrine. And, through interpretation of the Bible, shapes their arguments that they have the right way.
